CD62L is essential for the migration of na?ve and central memory T cells into secondary lymphoid organs like lymph nodes, where it helps initiate and regulate immune responses. Additionally, CD62L serves as a phenotypic marker for central memory T cells, which have higher expression levels of this molecule and can rapidly respond to antigen re-exposure. In cancer immunotherapy, modulating CD62L expression can enhance T cell infiltration into the tumor microenvironment, improving treatment efficacy.
